We live in a world that every day feels more and more curated. AI writes our emails, filters smooth our flaws, and social media shouts louder than real conversations so it can be so hard to filter out what’s real.
For me, it’s simple: human connection. This picture signifies what matters in life to me – people, and more specifically my people, people who get me and love me for who I am.I have suffered over the years from not finding my space, feeling bias all around me, feeling unsafe in business and social, and everyday environments.
And I’m here to help other not feel this – but to experience the joy of supportive human connection.
This picture is from the launch event of The NETwork,a space I have created where people can show up as their full, weirdly messy, brilliant selves. Because I know what it feels like to feel unseen. To hide behind a polished brand or a perfect insta grid, hoping that’s enough.
But it’s not.
What’s real is the way your voice cracks when you talk about your passion. It’s the nervous energy of walking into a networking event and finding someone who just gets it. It’s the stories you share over coffee and cake, the unspoken understanding between two people who’ve faced the same struggles, and the simple power of someone asking, “How are you, really?”
The NETwork exists because so many entrepreneurs, especially those from marginalised communities, feel disconnected in business spaces that prize sales over stories. We flip that on its head. We champion inclusivity, authenticity, and the magic that happens when people drop the mask and connect for real.
One of my favorite moments in The NETwork? A member telling me, “This is the first business space where I didn’t feel like I had to shrink myself to fit in.” That’s what’s real.
No AI can replicate that.
