1. Heart & Key Necklace – A gift to myself on my 26th birthday, this necklace symbolizes my commitment to holding the key to my heart, opportunities, and life journey.
2. Dhuku/Headwrap – Wearing a dhuku, or headwrap, makes me feel like a queen, connected to my mother, grandmother, and the powerful lineage of women before me. A staple in traditional Zimbabwean attire, this wrap can be worn around the waist or on the head and carries a deep cultural heritage.
3. The InnerVerses Art – This wall artwork brings the textures and colors of Zimbabwe into my space, reminding me of the colourful, vibrant markets and hand-woven baskets that filled my grandmother’s kitchen growing up.
4. Yellow Jumper – My favorite shades are yellows and golds, colours of the sun that make me happy. My dad used to call me his “ray of sunshine,” so wearing yellow is also a way to connect with that cherished memory. This jumper, branded with my business logo, puts me in “therapist mode.”
5. Candles – I always have several candles lit throughout the day. Lighting a candle brings me peace and grounding, and it reminds me of my childhood, spending candlelight evenings in my village home, gathered by the fire with family, enjoying popcorn and tea.
5 Things I Can’t Do Without:
1. Palo Santo Sticks – I’m intentional about maintaining positive energy in my home, cleansing and smoking out the space daily with palo santo to protect my peace and vibrational energy. This sacred wood has been used for centuries by Indigenous peoples in South America for spiritual, cleansing, and healing purposes.
2. Egyptian Cartouche Necklace – This necklace was a special gift to myself for my 32nd birthday in Egypt, with symbols that represent my initials, an ankh, and the protective eye.
3. Plant Babies and Fresh Flowers – I’m a proud plant mama, each named with a positive affirmation! Weekly, I bring fresh flowers into my space for an added touch of nature and vibrancy.
4. Yoga Mat – My yoga mat, with its extra cushioning, supports my love for all forms of yoga—from hot to aerial, yin to hatha—and it creates a sacred space for my “me time.”
- Shea Butter – My skin absolutely adores this for its healing properties and natural SPF. It’s my go-to all-in-one, leaving my skin glowing.
