By Erica Crompton
In Clitheroe, where history meets the day,
Paul and Erica set out, in their own special way.
With wheels that glide on paths so clear,
They explored the town, with nothing to fear.
The castle stood proud, on the hill so high,
With accessible paths that reached the sky.
They wandered through tales of knights and lore,
In a place where dreams and reality soar.
The cafes buzzed with colours and sound,
Local delights and treasures abound.
Cheese and pies, a feast for the soul,
Shared with laughter, making them whole.
As the sun dipped low, painting the sky,
They found their haven, where dreams lie.
The Spinning Block Hotel, in an old mill’s embrace,
Welcomed them warmly, a restful place.
With rooms so cosy, and access for all,
They felt at home, within its walls.
A night of peace, in history’s fold,
In Clitheroe’s heart, where stories are told.
