The moon

By Erica Crompton

As inky as the night-time sky

As brightening as the moon

A sparkle glimmering in an eye

And dancing through monsoons

When times are hard

And all is lost

The moon is here for all

In the darkness of the night,

The angels hear your call.

There’s magic as the clock strikes two

And silence stirs the air

The stars are dazzling in nightlight,

The universe, does care.
